Emotive Language

Emotive Language expresses our feelings which results in evoking feelings, emotions to others.

Example : Person saying

“I Love You!!” might arouse feeling in other person.

Euphemistic Language

Euphemistic means to say things blunt, straight forward way to make statement more pleasant.

Example #1 Politicans, they make promises and say things that people want to hear .

Language to Influence

Sometimes language is used to influence thinking. There are two types of language uses to manipulate thinking ; such as, Euphemistic Language and Emotive Language.

Visual Thinking

Increasingly, educators are recognising that the process of learning is critically important and understanding the way that students think and learn is the key to educational improvement. While visual thinking and visual learners are not synonymous, those who think in pictures have generally claimed to be best at visual learning.
I think the Visual Thinking is useful for learning.

Using Vague Language

Peole use vague language when they are unable or unwilling to give accurate information, or they think it is either unnecessary or socially inappropriate to do so. It does not have clear meaning; for example, telling time, "It's about half past two". It is not clear exactly what time it is. Another example would be if someone asks "What did you do on the weekend?" and anwer is " I typed some letters and things like that". This answer is not clearly understandable, the person is using vague language.

New Topic - Understanding of Thinking

Thinking is active, purposeful, orginized process that is used to make sense of the world. To make thoughts clear it is important to understand the situation. People use language to clarify thinking; they use vague or ambigious language.

What Are Narcotics?

Narcotics are addictive drugs that reduces pain, alters mood and behavior, and it usually induces sleep too. Narcotics change your response to sensations. It also produce unconsciousness. The primary medical use of these drugs is to reduce pain. Narcotics are also available illegally and are frequently abused. Sometimes people become dependent on narcotics that are prescribed for pain and continue to use and abuse them when they are no longer needed to manage pain.
Narcotics may make you dependent or addicted when you take them over time to reduce pain or for the pleasant, drowsy, floating feeling they give. Also, if you take these drugs repeatedly you may develop a tolerance to them which means that you need to take ever higher doses of the drug to produce the same effects.
People are dependent on a drug, and they feel a need for the drug when it is stopped. Sometimes they can be psychologically dependent which means that they feel distressed without it. Another type of dependence is being physically dependent which results to having bodily changes such as hot and cold flashes or tremors when the drug is stopped.
